This charming piece of furniture is an antique handmade solid wood writing table. It was restored and then modernized into this vibrant eye catching piece.
Salt wash was used to give a beautiful texture to the table and it was layered with gold and a gorgeous fun new color "Capri Pink" from Annie Sloan. Such a striking combination. A gold foil décor transfer was applied to the front of the writing table and gold mousse was used for the legs. A glaze mixed with gold was used to highlight the edges of the table and it was then sealed with clear wax. A new modern gold knob was added to the small drawer.
This is an extremely eccentric piece that is full of life. It is attractive and will surely brighten up any room it goes into.
